Red Hat Deep Dive Technical Training – Advanced Application Deployment with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

Description:

This Deep Dive is an internal training for Red Hat employees. To make sure partners can also benefit from this training, we reserved a limited number of places for partners. We encourage you to register as quickly as possible to secure your place.

Advanced Application Deployment with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform teaches students advanced application development, configuration, and management skills using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. It is NOT a programming course; it focuses on making all kinds of applications run on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. The course also discusses CI/CD with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.


Prerequisites:

Name change: This Course was previously known as "Advanced Application Development with Red Hat OpenShift". Content, outcome, target audience and prerequisites are the same.

Prerequisites (mandatory) – the following OPEN Online courses are a must before you take this ILT Training:

  • Red Hat OpenShift 4 Foundations (required, 12 hours) > Enrol now
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 Resources and Tools  (required, 8 hours) > Enrol now
  • Application Deployment with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 (optional, highly recommended, 24 hours) > Enrol now

Important:

You need to have an active Red Hat Partner Account to access OPEN and enrol the prerequisites. Please see our "How to Guide" to join an existing partner company account. If you do have questions in regards to this please contact the EMEA Partner Team.


Outcome:

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Discuss microservices architecture using the 12-Factor Application
  • Create applications using the Kubernetes Core Workloads APIs
  • Set up a full CI/CD environment using source code repositories, artifact managers, code analysis tools, and Jenkins as the CI/CD orchestrator
  • Build applications for OpenShift
  • Configure a complex CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins
