Red Hat Deep Dive Technical Training - Advanced Topics in Red Hat OpenStack Platform

Description:

This course covers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 16 director to install and manage an OpenStack cloud. Course labs provide hands-on experience with using director for cloud deployment customization, advanced networking setup, integration with Red Hat Ceph Storage, Red Hat IdM, using hyper-converged infrastructure, pre-deployed servers, performing operational tasks and troubleshooting.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director
  • Use director to discover cloud and storage nodes
  • Plan and prepare a cloud deployment configuration according to available compute, storage and network resources
  • Implement cloud deployment with network isolation, OVS and OVN networking
  • Install a new Red Hat Ceph Storage cluster with Red Hat OpenStack Platform director or integrate OpenStack cloud with an existing storage cluster
  • Perform OpenStack deployment on pre-installed systems
  • Enable TLS protection of the OpenStack endpoints
  • Configure OpenStack with Distributed Virtual Routing, Octavia load balancing, Barbican key management
  • Use composable services and networks to define custom roles for overcloud nodes and implement connectivity to the provider networks
  • Perform operational tasks, such as undercloud backup and restore, overcloud scaling, and node replacement
