VIRTUAL - Red Hat Deep Dive Technical Training - Advanced Cloud-Native Development with Red Hat OpenShift Application Runtimes

This Deep Dive is an internal training for Red Hat employees. To make sure partners can also benefit from this training, we reserved a limited number of places for partners. We encourage you to register as quickly as possible to secure your place.

As modern application requirements become more complex, it’s apparent that there a number of challenges with developing enterprise-grade microservices. Development teams must figure out how to manage the complexity of microservices development with diverse technologies.


Prerequisites:

The following OPEN Online courses are a must before you take this ILT Training:

  • Red Hat OpenShift 3 Foundations > Enrol now
  • Application Deployment with Red Hat OpenShift > Enrol now
  • Cloud-Native Development Foundations (online 16 hours) > Enrol now
  • Cloud-Native Development with Thorntail (online 16 hours) > Enrol now
  • Cloud-Native Development with Eclipse Vert.x (online 16 hours) > Enrol now
  • Cloud-Native Development with Spring Boot (online 16 hours) > Enrol now

Important:

Outcome:

In this course, students will learn how to:

  • Apply microservice architectural patterns such as API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Service Discovery.
  • Secure microservices with token-based authentication and authorization using Red Hat SSO as the Authentication Server.
  • Integrate microservice applications with a data grid to provide cloud-native stateful applications.
  • Leverage asynchronous messaging for communicating in a cloud environment.
  • Perform distributed tracing and application performance monitoring with Jaeger, Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Deploy a service mesh with Istio to connect, manage and secure microservices.
